Dr. Susan Komen Koech, is a dedicated career banker with a natural instinct to identify future trends. Prior to joining Government, Susan was the Regional Head for KCB Bank. Her life purpose is to uplift and connect. She is very enthusiastic about networking and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in a bid to create value and impact to people’s lives positively. This trait and passion undoubtedly will see her deliver on the State Department’s key mandate which is to deepen and widen integration.
Dr. Koech is an alumnus of Moi University, School of Business, with a PhD, MBA and BBM. Her PhD thesis was titled “Moderating Effect of perceived customer value on relationship quality and customer loyalty among bank customers in Kenya”. She has also done several leadership courses that have built and grounded her leadership competences these include; Fast Forward (FFWD), Lead, Euro Money – School of Retail Banking, Commercial Awareness and Corporate Governance. She also holds a Diploma in Banking and is a member of Kenya Institute of Bankers and Kenya Institute of Management.
Susan is passionate about mentoring the youth, young professionals and participating in community activities with a bias on education. Through her deliberate interventions she has nurtured many outstanding leaders in addition to mentoring many students across the Country.
