The state Department of East African Community in collaboration with the County Government of Uasin Gishu organized a lawyer’s sensitization forum targeting judicial officers from the County.
The Sensitization kicked off with an elaborative consultative meeting with the hosting Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno which evaluated the progress so far made in EAC Integration critical areas of co-operation. The Deputy Governor expressed his passion in fast racking matters that boost integration, noting the County as one of the key Transport highway where the Northern Corridor traverses.

Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has reiterated the Kenya Government’s commitment to the preservation of the Mara basin as a source of livelihood to millions of people living in Kenya and Tanzania.
Mr Wamalwa said Kenya had put in place the necessary regulatory systems for the proper and sustainable management of its water towers as a demonstration of its firm commitment to sustainable environmental conservation.
Speaking at Bomet County stadium during celebrations to mark the 5th Mara Day celebrations, the Cabinet Secretary further reiterated Kenya’s commitment to honour a memorandum of understanding signed with the United Republic of Tanzania for the joint water towers management systems.

President Uhuru Kenyatta paid an unexpected visit to the State Department of East African Community Integration (SDEACI) stand at this year’s Mombasa International Show, and instructed that the EAC anthem and flag be popularized as per the recent Cabinet directive on the same.
Received by the East African Community, Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary, Mrs Phyllis Kandie and Director of Administration at SDEACI, Christopher Musumbu, the President’s first question as he was taken round the stand was: “Have you taught the public how to sing the EAC anthem?”
